Reverend Robert G. Hedgepeth has served as the eighth pastor of the Pine Chapel Baptist Church since July 30, 1995.  He has been a member of Pine Chapel since September 25, 1966.  During the pastorate of the late Reverend Kermit Richardson, Pine Chapel licensed him to preach the Gospel on December 21, 1986 and ordained him as a minister of the Gospel on May 3, 1987. 

Reverend Hedgepeth served in his first pastorate for four years after being installed as the pastor of the Bear Swamp Baptist of Littleton, North Carolina on April 1, 1990.   During his pastorate at Pine Chapel Baptist Church, Reverend Hedgepeth has served as the Moderator of the Reedy Creek Missionary Baptist Association and has served as a member of the General Board and the Executive Board of the General Baptist State Convention of North Carolina, Inc.

Reverend Hedgepeth is a 1975 graduate of Winston-Salem State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and is a graduate of the Shaw University Divinity School with a Masters of Divinity Degree.

Reverend Hedgepeth is married to the former Patricia Richardson.
