As people of faith, God asks us to give faithfully. He hasn’t blessed us financially to increase our standard of living, but to increase our standard of giving.

A ‘tithe’ is 10% of our income.

Consider two words: ownership and stewardship.

• Ownership: It all belongs to God. The question isn’t, “How much of my wealth should I give to God?”, but rather, “How much of God’s wealth should I keep for my use?”
• Stewardship: How will you steward the treasure, time, talent He’s given you?

The Bible uses the term ‘first-fruits’ to describe how to give. To give our first-fruits, look at your gross income, and give accordingly.

In light of scripture, we teach and encourage you to be a generous, cheerful, sacrificial, and consistent giver. Pray about what He wants you to give. What lifestyle adjustments will allow you to give faithfully?

Giving is an issue of God’s ownership and our stewardship to make His kingdom great.
